Elsewhere in France, a music teacher finds inexplicable disturbances and in her quest for answers, finds love with an atypical person who captivates her attention and she finds the ultimate answers to her shocks.

  • Krzysztof Kieslowski deserves applause for bringing an ethereal subject to life giving a poetic touch to it! The maintenance of suspense works wonders in this double action game!
  • Iréne Jacob has terrific scope for performing and she grabs it with the proverbial net and does an impeccable job! She is lovable as both the Polish Veronica and the French Veronique.
  • The contrast in the two lady characters who adore the idiot – Ayako & Nasu – has been explained brilliantly in the scene where they face each other – Classic scene!
  • Music adds life to the scenes and so do the photography and locations (which could be said for all Kieslowski films!)
