Four simple street magicians are brought together by an unknown common benefactor. As they proceed according to the directions given by this mysterious benefactor, they host their first show where they perform the impossible act of robbing a bank remotely. The moment it becomes evident that the bank was really robbed, the FBI steps in and a game of cat and mouse ensues.

What’s Hot
- A no-nonsense script with minimal side stories forms a strong foundation which is further enhanced by as-a-matter-of-fact logic. The audiences would be glued to their seats with their expectations soaring high till the end.
- The movie ventures into a rarely visited genre of magic and crime. With the giants like The Prestige and The Illusionist setting very high expectations in this genre, “Now you see me” does a good job in satisfying the insatiable thirst of an intelligent viewer.
- The script has been shouldered by acting giants like Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman while providing right pockets for striking performances from Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco. This, combined with a mellowed love track from Mark Ruffalo and Mélanie Laurent, balances the movie like salt to sweet.
- Each of the characters have been designed to have individuality. Be it their costumes or body language, a lot of attention has been put into the characterization. Setting up huge sets for the magic performances and paying attention to detail takes the art direction to an entire new level.
What’s Not
- For audience who like to dissect the movie as they watch, this movie would find the bottom of their list as there is a lot to process in a short span of time. The movie unfolds from one perspective and then takes another eventually, which can be disorienting for a few but interesting to others.
