Coffee Bloom (Hindi, 2015)
Coffee Bloom, is a tale of relationships (of mother-son, husband-wife, dejected loner-married ex-lover) with a parallel track on nature, that succeeds in evoking nostalgia while still being modern in its handling.
Baby (Hindi, 2015)
Baby has some gripping on-screen elements that prove Neeraj Pandey has continued with the rich vein of form he showed in his first two films. Baby is a mature, street-smart movie that should win all hearts alike.
Ugly (Hindi, 2014)
Why did Anurag Kashyap christen this lovely film Ugly? Probably to stress that solutions to problems lie not so far from us. Is it valid only for the story or also for the darker side of the human emotion? Even though the former is inspired by real events, keen eyes on this movie will make the latter weigh more!
PK (Hindi, 2014)
A movie that starts off like it might be just another romantic flick takes an interesting turn once Aamir Khan’s screen presence is felt and turns into a mirror of our society posing some really interesting (read tough) questions. It sure conveys a message that does make one think about his/her beliefs and the importance that we have given middlemen who act as intermediaries between God and the masses, ending on the need to foster humanity.
Gour Hari Dastaan – The Freedom File (Hindi, 2014)
Gour Hari Dastaan is a film that deserves a wide release for staying so close to the truth yet never being flat or disengaging. The fact that the film was able to arouse the National Spirit of the audience without being ever manipulative or preachy makes it not just award-worthy but National-Award worthy.
