The Intern while having its share of silly moments is genuinely entertaining and easygoing. With some genuinely astute dialogues, numerous truly funny bits and small scenes with half a dozen supporting players, the movie grows us on from scene to scene and makes it a pleasing movie-watching experience.
Puli promised to be a fantasy extravaganza that was never seen before. However, what we have got is the hapless execution of a decent plot that never gets us off our seats except during the title card when actor Vijay’s name is announced!

Impeccable acting, impactful dialogues & and an impressive stirring script make ‘Kuttram Kadithal’ an immensely satisfactory experience. Films like this, brokering a perfect marriage of cinematic language & reality, come by very rarely. It raises pertinent questions which stir debate but never gets preachy. A Must-Watch!
An above average docu drama that is technically majestic like that Everest hovering above all the climbers in the movie.
Bramma’s journey into film making came across through his participation in the Inter-collegiate South Zone Culturals events during his stint of pursuing a B.Sc. degree in Physics from Loyola and his entry into Kollywood Mainstream Cinema is even more fascinating. On a day in 2012 when he resigned a job, he was asked the question, “What next?” at a Tea Shop by his friend Christy, for which he did not have a clear answer. When asked if he could make a film at a low budget, he replied in the affirmative without hesitating one bit. That was how Kuttram Kadithal, the National Award winning film, up for release next week, was born!
Opening with an exceptionally conceived base story of a haunted place, the nifty writing and creative screenplay produce an effectively engaging and petrifying experience, making ‘Maya’ quite possibly the best you would have seen for a long time with frights aplenty!
An interesting mix of Romance and Suspense which is accentuated by the infusion of the creativity from a young cast and crew, makes ‘RangiTaranga’ that refreshingly taut and unnervingly mystic movie experience – a genuinely bold and suspenseful thriller that is bound to give you the chills!
Vishnuvardhan takes the interesting premise on offer involving a bit of fate and role-reversal, spices it up with a brilliant build-up leading to a teasing Interval. What follows as a long detour is where he misses the target, screws up the fun a bit and makes the film end rather clumsily
A fair share of thrills and a bigger share of spills prevent the movie from pressing forward for victory, and is left to keep mending the holes created by some inexplicable writing and poor conceptualization of the story - which makes 'Thakka Thakka' a noticeably depleted attack!
