What’s Hot
- Emotionally, performance-wise, this is one brilliant film! The emotions run high and the points touched upon aren’t pressed deliberately, they just flow.Props to Jessie Nelson for wonderfully handling a poetic subject.
- Sean Penn as ‘Sam’ – The very first few minutes gives us an indication that the guy is going to disturb the viewer and the peak arrives when he screams “I try and try and try and fail”; His consistent mannerisms, voice modulation are all indescribable! Simply stunning show!
- The cute little kid who plays his daughter is a doll! She performs amazingly well & the lawyer,Annie, friends roles are welcome additions.
- The nice soothing soundtracks & cinematography that doesn’t lord over some highly emotional scenes add to the quality.
What’s Not
- There is not much on this side!
