A cute looking baby monster is taken on a field trip to Monsters Inc, where he realizes his dream of becoming a scarer. How he manages to get into the famous Monster university, how he meets his best buddy, James sullivan and whether or not he becomes a scarer is revealed in the film.

What’s Hot
- The animation is extremely good and pleasing to the eyes. The character designs of the various monsters are interesting. The effort lifts the plot to a new level altogether.
- The character of, Mike Wazowski with his innocence, and Sully with his arrogance win hearts making us root for them. Their anti-chemistry and their chemistry in the end have been scripted wonderfully.
- The “Keep it simple” mantra works in favor of this movie when it comes to the script. A non-complex story of a college goer, his dreams, his friends and his entry to real world is engaging.
- The rise of the ‘Oozma Kappa’ from being a bunch of losers into winners is depicted interestingly. Music by the legendary Randy Newman is a big plus for the movie.
What’s Not
- In essence, this is an underdog story and has all the cliches and pitfalls of a typical underdog movie. This is a flip side to the simple light hearted story. The emotional attachment felt by the viewer is never as close as ‘Monsters Inc’.
