Darling (Tamil, 2015)
‘Darling’ begins on a funny and mysterious note, but soon embraces the predictable path and loses a lot of venom to wander off to mediocrity. Nevertheless, the humour sprayed all over the movie never lets up and manages to pull itself up to present a decent entertainer!!
Nizhal Nijamagirathu (Tamil, 1978)
Nizhal Nijamagirathu is a film that stuns you with its making, casting, characterization, dialogues, & performances. It is all the more impressive that it is still talked given the fact that the film does not have a principal Hero or Heroine character.
I (Tamil, 2015)
In more than half a decade of Tamil movie industry it has always been observed that the weight of expectations vested on a movie is directly proportional to the disenchantment of the average movie-watching public. But 'I' breaks this trend majestically. ‘I’ is definitely not the best script among Shankar’s films but the average script is lifted by the extraordinary performance of Vikram & impressive technical wizardry.
Vellaikaara Durai (Tamil, 2014)
Vellaikaara Durai is one of those clueless attempts to cash in on commercial formula elements such as comedy and romance without having anything new to offer and ends up to be a totally dismal presentation that literally strangles the patience out of the audience!
Aaaah (Tamil, 2014)
Three of the five episodes in Aaaah may have worked as separate short films but put together, they fail to create a fearful impact thanks to limited screen time for each. The team, however, has not failed in its attempt from staying away from being pedestrian and can be backed for a better outing in the future.
