Lured by the hefty paycheques from outsourcing jobs in Chennai, a young man lands in search of a job in the land of unknowns. Another man finds himself in unfamiliar Chennai for treating his ailing son, while a third man who is not new to the city, yet is facing unknown situations in his life. When their fates get entangled courtesy the dark sides of a few dominating individuals, a deadly cat and mouse game unfolds in the most unexpected of fashions!

What’s Hot

  • The story penned by Lokesh Kanagaraj wrests all the well-deserved adulation thanks to the will to keep the viewing experience supreme above all other compulsions and obligatory distractions, which many other stories fall prey to. The film remains non-judgemental and sticks to the narrative while providing subtle psychological conditioning to the society.
  • The two male leads Sri and Sundeep create quite a dilemma for us to pick a favourite with their competitive performances. The way they express the necessary attitude to carry off their characters is a true delight to experience! Sri’s passive approach and Sundeep’s aggressive tone provide the right balance which suits their respective character traits.
  • The humour infused throughout the movie is not something that one can ignore or forget!  Muniskanth sends out wave after wave of riotous comedy armed with dialogues that are dealt with comic precision to complement his inimitable delivery and eccentric behaviour.
  • The movie focuses on monsters of the night and their prey, which demands it to be predominantly shot in low light. Camera work from Selvakumar is unrelenting at places as there is never a dull moment with the frames capturing more information than one could process!

What’s Not

  • We sincerely felt that the hyperlinking between characters and their situations goes overboard as the movie progresses. Coincidences are called that for a reason and to manipulate it so many times over a span of two hours just doesn’t feel right. We also felt that the experience could have been much better if shown to have occurred within a shorter period of time.
  • Though the movie explores so many story lines, the run time is too stretched out for the kind of interlinked narrative technique used. The short and frequent alternating sequences of tense moments and funny exchanges go on for too long and the overkill dampens the awe generated upfront.
