What’s Hot

  • For an out and out comical entertainer, the director deserves the credit of taking the film to the audience and hit the right notes. He has made full use of all the available resources and churned out a decent flick.
  • The actors have performed a splendid job in making sure that they all stay true to the requirement of the storyline. M. S. Bhaskar and Pasupathy stand tall amid a sea of other actors who have performed arguably well for their roles. Whether or not Vijay Antony tried his best not to emote too much in some instances it works well for the actor.
  • Some of the dialogues in the movie contribute to some hilarious moments. Credit must also go to M. S. Bhaskar, Pasupathy and Manobala for having delivered the dialogues to the crisp flavour that is of the Southern Tamil Nadu’s.
  • Music by debutante Deena Devarajan has added weight to the script of the movie. But the placement of songs in some instances remain questionable. But all in all, Deena has made sure that he has given his best effort.

What’s Not

  • The screenplay has some gaping holes in it. It just uses its comical entertainer as its buy-around and escapes with some passable laughs here and there. The movie also loses pace and drags on during various instances and that’s a drab for a viewer.

Verdict Stamp

In spite of the various flaws of an average screenplay, India Pakistan manages to pull it off all thanks to the weight of the performances given by M. S. Bhaskar and Pasupathy. Though not made in a way as to shatter records, it is one of those watchable movies that fills-in the less celebrated weekends.
