What’s Hot

  • Pulkit as Hunny and Varun as Choocha form the core and the camaraderie between the two is the soul of Fukrey. Pulkit as the quintessential Delhi boy gets the dialect and body language spot on. Varun as the innocent chap is a riot with his childish dialogues and revels in this role.
  • Next to them come the seasoned performers Richa Chaddha as Bholi Punjaban and Pankaj Tripathi as the shrewd college watchmen. Both are first-rate on their respective roles with Richa outshining almost all the others whenever she comes on screen.
  • Manjot Singh & Ali Fazal play their parts well, doing justice to their respective characters. Even though the ladies, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh do not have much to do, they are adequate and mouth their lines well.
  • Ram Sampath’s tracks and background score make the film youthful and energetic. The songs have been placed well and never seem to drag much.
  • Vipul Vig and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba must be commended for coming up with such a script based out of Delhi with believable characters who are inherently funny in their own ways.

What’s Not

  • The film’s pace sags sometimes due to few boring gags.
  • The audience loses the connect with the characters as the film doesn’t take itself seriously even on occasions when the boys get into serious trouble.

A moderate entertainer, which comically chronicles the troubles faced by few Delhi youths, who attempt to take shortcuts to achieve their respective dreams.
