Irudhi Suttru (Tamil, 2016)
Irudhi Suttru is one of those rare sports-based films in Tamizh cinema that look at not just the issues within the sporting space but also familial compulsions, peer pressure and student-coach infatuation. The fact that in spite of delving into all these topics the film engages & keeps the viewer hooked, is credit to the director and the entire team!

The Hateful Eight (English, 2015)
With a steadily paced beginning, well placed character introductions and strong yet impressive dialogues, ‘Hateful Eight’ promises to be an exciting roller coaster, but never really takes off as it keeps skidding down a slippery slope at a laborious pace as it is disfigured by the inexplicable use of violence and further dampened by a dated plot.
Sorga Vaasal – The Holy Shit (Tamil, 2016) | Short Film Review
Talk about taking up a topic pertinent to the current state of our nation, this attempt hits probably the most important issue of lack of proper sanitation which does a fine job in taking up a harmless situation to highlight the issue. Brilliantly done music brings out the plight and the humor that usually links up to the issue is also portrayed well.
Rajini Murugan (Tamil, 2016)
Beneath all the glossy visuals, racy songs and enjoyable comedy, lies a repugnant concoction of a cliched plot, a wavering story, an insincere screenplay which spills over to spoil the experience as 'Rajini Murugan' drags on endlessly – an ordeal indeed!
