What’s Hot

  • First up, this is a debut of kinds for almost all the cast and crew members. The director Sathiya Moorthy Saravanan has made sure that this one doesn’t go unnoticed for a low budget débutantes affair. He has put in a great deal of effort in staying focused to the task in hand.
  • The story reminds us of a well-knit piece of clothing with enough instances of thrilling sequences, romance and villainy to keep the audience guessing all along. How the director wins here is how he has treated humane behavior in all kinds of people and portrayed their qualities in a remarkable way.
  • Being first-timers and having practically no exposure towards big screen elements, Sharran Sharma, Jai Quehaeni have done a good job of it. The villains Mishal and Narayanan have done a neat job worthy of praise. The story portrays the villains in a smart way too.
  • The music by Sidhartha Mohan provides soothing moments and some gripping scores for the tense moments. It is a good debut again in the music department.

What’s Not

  • Even though the screenplay is gripping enough to tell the tale of a thriller, there are some gaps in the movie that makes the audience feel that the thriller element could have been executed in a better way.
  • For all the effort that the crew have put into making this movie, during some instances, the movie does give the feel of a tele-serial, possibly due to the performances of the lesser known cast and the settings they are put into.

Verdict Stamp

CSK comes as a neatly written thriller film that makes the viewing experience enjoyable even as a better screenplay could have filled in the otherwise impenetrable effort made by the crew. Though there are some questionable sections in the film, on the whole, it is a commendable job done by the cast and crew.
