Thoongaa Vanam (Tamil, 2015)
In today’s world, movies usually can satisfy either the critics or commerce. But when there is a movie, that can adroitly balance both these immoderations and doesn’t test the intelligence of the audience, it can be marked as one-of-a-kind - Thoongavanam falls into that category. Flicks like these are the ones that no true cinema watcher can ever miss or contemplate to overlook. The Director needs to be applauded for not giving into the modern-day temptation of slicing in some redundant commercial elements. Thoongavanam, blends a massive star-cast with some fast-paced screenplay and elegant storytelling to produce a superlative flick that can unquestionably not be missed.
Vedalam (Tamil, 2015)
Vedhalam starts out with harmless sparks with feel good performances from the lead cast, but a flurry of supercharged acting from Ajith sets the tone for a good entertaining experience that overshadows the superfluous content to lay out a sparkling feast this festive season!
10 Endrathukulla (Tamil, 2015)
10 Endrathukulla is like a race car. It has its fair share of whizzing moments thanks to the joyous outing of the man behind its wheel, Vikram. The problem is, it also has its share of Pit stops, moments of over & under steer and an impactful crash before it stutters its way to the chequered flag
Naanum Rowdydhaan (Tamil, 2015)
When asked about what ‘Naanum Rowdydhaan’ is about, you can quote that long sentence which Vijay Sethupathi breathlessly narrates to Parthiban near the end, but it is definitely something more than that for it travels from comic caper to emotion to action across its runtime with absolute ease. Top notch acting, well-defined character arcs and irresistible music make this a splendid watch. Go for it!
Masala Padam (Tamil, 2015)
Masala Padam is the classic case of a wonderful idea gone wrong. In spite of the modern theme, the film looks dated in its approach and execution resulting in an unexciting & flat experience for the audience.
