Killa (Marathi, 2015)
Killa is a highly endearing and nostalgia inducing tale of a kid who tries to adapt to his fast-changing surroundings. The film is poetic thanks to the wonderfully defined characters & the Konkan setup that form the base from which it takes us through a trip from the perspective of its protagonist.
Baahubali – The Beginning (Telugu, 2015)
S. S. Rajamouli has managed to produce a mighty masterpiece, scaling high in all areas that one can expect him to. If Magadheera was all about his story telling skills, Baahubali is more proof of what he can do with serious technical brilliance at his disposal. This will definitely rank as one of the path-breakers in Indian Cinema and a priceless feather in the caps of all those associated with the movie
Court (Marathi, 2014)
Labelling Court as a ‘Realistic courtroom drama’ that raises pertinent questions on the Judiciary would be unfair to the film, for it touches upon diverse topics that extend beyond the courtroom or the streets or our homes. Once you let the film sink in, you realize it touches our minds and the societal apathy that has crept into it.
Deool (Marathi, 2011)
Deool is a compounded end product of simple elements like innocence, ignorance, sarcasm, selfishness, politics and superstition that is put through a good process. With the execution taking the story home, it’s a hard to miss and intriguing tale of how we are losing out on our cultural values in the greed of modernization.
1983 (Malayalam, 2014)
1983 is a realistic take on the innocent cricket madness entwined with a pinch of romance and a dash of satire. It is the ultimate coming-of-age story of every Indian cricket fanatic whose dreams of being a cricketer have been bulldozed by one of society, family or tight circumstances.
