Dap cánh giua không trung (or) Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere (Vietnamese, 2014)
A slow realistic drama with engaging performances - and interestingly etched characters.
Das finstere Tal (or) The Dark Valley (German, 2014)
A spaghetti western shootout with little-to-no story that is watchable primarily because of the exquisite camera work. In spite of being ultra-slow at the start, the film builds up the pace as it moves towards the end.
Fa yeung nin wa (or) In the Mood for Love (Cantonese, 2000)
In the Mood for Love is a poetic, subtle tale of relationships, that kindles the untold romance within you while at the same time being never on the melodramatic side.
Naya Pata (Bhojpuri ,2014)
Naya Pata is certainly a noble attempt at chronicling the pain of migrating from a village to a city but it could have been so much more had the pacing issues been taken care of.
