Q (Hindi, 2014)
‘Q’ is the honest attempt of a debutant filmmaker to bring to film, the monotony & humanity in the lives of people on the wrong side of the law, but its pacing and low production value bring down the engagement quotient a great deal.
Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga (Tamil, 2015)
Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga is no better than any other commercially oriented comedy entertainers that Rajesh has made so far, only that the artificial dialogues, unenjoyable songs, an aversive plot and a ridiculous climax makes sure that the pretty good humour featured in the movie can only dilute the toxic experience!
Vaalu (Tamil, 2015)
Vaalu doesn’t have much to complain about because it doesn’t have much to write home about. The intentions seem to be to provide mindless fun but in the process, it lacks any story to be told and ends up being a film not to be bothered about – much like the vestigial tail some reptiles have.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (English, 2015)
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation has towed the inimitable path laid out by the franchise. But where the previous movies failed, it has scored well to resurrect the franchise by some crisp storytelling and throbbing action.
Iyobinte Pusthakam (Malayalam, 2014)
A picturesque narration of Iyob's life & his heirs courtesy, the stunning visuals. Set in Pre-independent epoch, there are multiple subplots supporting the main knot and it is a feast to see them culminate at the climax without any loopholes.
