What’s Hot
- In spite of having content inspired to a large extent from a British film ‘London to Brighton’, Balaji K Kumar must be given due credit for a stylish and well scripted thriller with enough spikes throughout.
- Pooja as the troubled prostitute gives a great performance showing varied emotions at the appropriate moments.
- The girl who plays Nandini is a revelation and steals the show. She mouths some memorable lines and shows cute reactions spontaneously.
- Vinoth Kishan and his two henchmen look menacing. In spite of having very less amount of dialogues the trio score with their top notch body-language. The supporting characters Amarendran, John Vijay and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan also shine in their respective roles.
- The editor Sathyaraj and the cinematographer Sivakumar Vijayan deliver award-worthy performances with marvelous camera angles and stylish transitions. The coloring during the climax gives a great feel as well.
- Girishh Gopalakrishnan’s sensational BGM ups the suspense element in many scenes and even the songs that occur in montages blend well with the film.
What’s Not
- The film is a tad lengthy at 2 hours and 20 minutes and there are areas where the editor could have shown less mercy.
