What’s Hot
- Comic capers from Naren, M.S.Baskar and Kota Srinivasa Rao have the audience in splits and compliment the director’s patented style of comedy laced story telling.
- The retro style song in the second half showcases some fine skills on the part of the costume designer and the actors in recreating a duet from the 80’s.
- Karthi and Santhanam revel in their respective roles of the comically presented flashback with subtle sarcasm on yesteryear heroes and movies.
What’s Not
- The songs which are already a couple of notches below expectations compared to the previous movies of the director, leave a lot to be desired with respect to their abrupt placement in the flow of things.
- Kajal Aggarwal successfully pulls of a sleaze show in almost every frame which puts off the viewer who is already burdened with the task of deciphering placid reactions.
- The director’s attempt to bank on Santhanam’s presence for the nth time, backfires as the scenes with the protagonist do not have the magic that worked wonders in his previous movies.
- The dialogues mouthed by Karthi are way too noisy at times and his reactions to Kajal’s misadventures with Music and Dance are over the top.
- The difficult Characters and Situations that Karthi has to overcome in order to marry Kajal are established in a fragile manner and do no justice to the already meandering story.
