Kiran and Smitha are in love and make a living by ripping off unsuspecting people and run out of luck when they unknowingly dupe a local gangster. In a bid to escape his wrath, they plan one final job on the gangster himself and take the spoils with them to renovate an abandoned estate belonging to Kiran’s father. They create a resort out of it with the help of Sharath, but their worries are far from over when the guests at the resort keep dying under mysterious circumstances. The bizarre incidents that continue to happen form the rest of the story that ends with a final showdown.

What’s Hot

  • Humor and Horror is a concoction that seldom fails to wow the audience. The debut attempt by director DeeKay is no exception. The story has an intelligent mix of both these elements and enjoyable dialogues which keep the audience in splits and on the edge of their seats in fear.
  • Krishna as Kiran and Karunakaran as Sharad, play the clumsy card to great advantage. Their reactions in the face of fear are unmatched and their quick wit adds more charisma to their characters. The guest appearance by Mayilswamy infuses more fun into the story.
  • The costumes presented especially for the lovely ladies Rupa, Oviya and Anaswara are exceptional and elevate their sensuality multiple fold. Not missing out is the makeup for each character in the horror scenes, which leave the audience screaming in shock.
  • With only a couple of songs and ample scope for suspenseful background scores, Prasad S N delivers a noteworthy music performance. The romantic duet that figures in the flashback is an instant hit. Of equally good value are the Visual effects produced in the fright sequences.

What’s Not

  • The characterizations of Rupa Manjari and Oviya stick out like a sore thumb amidst good performances all around. Rupa over exerts her emotions in pretty much all her scenes while Oviya in an attempt to increase the oomph factor, goes overboard and proves to be a turn off.
  • Deekay seems to have missed a trick or two by failing to engage the prime target audience of the summer season – Kids. The “Muni” brand of horror-comedy movies by Raghava Lawrence have become all time favorites among kids due to the unadulterated humor. This movie fails at that by having a fair share of adult comedy which prevents it from being a family watch.
